It is expected that we as temple missionaries, have assignments in addition to our regular responsibilities as ordinance workers. Since Elder and Sister Rancie have not had any assignments given since arriving in October, we knew the time would eventually come for someone's assignments to change.
President Wong let us know today that it is our assignments that will be changed. He is reassigning not just one, but two of our responsibilities to Elder and Sister Rancie.
We are no longer assigned to assist with the Asia Area Missionary Temple Session, nor are we expected to help new couple missionaries get familiar with the area.
This means we now have only two assignments, and one of them is a 'biggie'. Big enough that even though we have two less assignments, we still have enough to keep us plenty busy. We still have the responsibility to train the new English-speaking ordinance workers, and to coordinate the schedule for the Statutory Holidays.
Our next holiday is just 3 1/2 weeks away.
Since it is during Chinese New Year, it may be a challenge to get enough workers for the day.
One thing we know, is that this is the Lord's work, and He will make a way for it to get done.
