Balls Are Leaving and Sister Yuen Is Retiring!

Once again, it is time for a missionary farewell.  This time it is for
Elder and Sister Ball who will be leaving this coming Wednesday to go back to Boise.
They were our trainers and hosts when we arrived in Hong Kong.
We would have been lost for sure without them showing us how to get around in this big city.
They also steered us in the right direction to some great places for shopping,
and of course for eating out.
Makes us a little sad to see them go.

Today was not just a farewell, it was also a day to honor Sister Yuen.
In addition to being President Yuen's wife and assistant to Sister Wong, our Temple Matron,
she has worked for the past 18 years taking care of the cleaning and maintenance of the Hong Kong Temple, but the time has come for her to retire.
President Hui interpreting as Sister Yuen shares her remarks.
Just love Sister Yuen's smile and we hardly see her without it.
President Wong presenting her with a Certificate of Appreciation
for her years of service and hard work.
Sister Yuen is a woman of great faith.  Normally, a member of the temple presidency and their wives are not employed when serving in their calling.  So, Sister Yuen was willing to sacrifice the income her job provided to support her husband as a counselor in the Temple Presidency.   But, the Temple Department made an exception for her to fulfill both responsibilities.  That has been a great blessing for their family.
We are grateful that we will still be seeing her and her great smile at the temple.
Our wonderful temple presidency always prepare a delicious dinner for us.
We admire each of these women.
