Hot Diggity Dog!

We got together last night for a casual evening before the Balls
and the Powell's missions come to an end.
What do you serve at a gathering to say goodbye to two American couples?
Hot dogs, chips and apple pie, of course.
Elders Ngai and Bodily loading up their plates.
Sister Ngai so often has us laughing up a storm with her wonderful sense of humor,
and this evening was no different.  She can be such a hoot.
Elder Bodily had a captive audience as he was trying to be helpful
by sharing inside information regarding the RV world.
Being with Sisters Powell and Orton in a place other than church or the temple, gave us a chance to see a different side to them.  They too,  have quite the sense of humor.
With Powells, Ortons, Bodilys, Rancies, Lees, Chans, Balls, Ngais, and Chan,
the room was filled with 17 of us, but we can always make room for more.
We learned a little more about Chinese customs that was quite interesting,
but will save that for another posting.
Just as we thought the evening was ending,
Sister Ball surprised us with signed copies of her book series,
The Eden Covenant.
She is a woman of many talents.

What do returned senior missionaries do when they get home?
The first thing Powells are doing when they get back to Utah is getting in their new hot tub, and maybe with their son too, when he returns from his mission in Japan two days later.
The Balls will be having a big party when they get back to their 40 acres with all their kids and grandkids, which means over 50 for their family.  What a blast that should be.
