Pioneers, Popcorn, Pie, and Packs!

A few months ago, we agreed to plan the monthly FHE activity
for our missionary group in September.  We were in a quandary as to what to do, until we discovered a few weeks ago, that we were the only couple who had seen the movie,
  Ephraim's Rescue.
PERFECT!
That gave us the idea to have everyone over for a movie night,
which included popcorn, of course.
So, with a little shifting of furniture, we managed to squeeze in 8 of us in our cozy apartment to watch this touching story of Ephraim Hanks and his role in rescuing some of the saints in the
Martin Handcart Co.
This man's desire to do good, and his faith to heal was remarkable.

We wouldn't consider watching a movie without popcorn.
Sister Shirley Ngai offered to bring her delicious apple pies for dessert, and we would have been crazy to turn her down.  She makes prize-winning pies.  We can all attest to that.
Elder and Sister Pack showed up just in time for dessert and some good conversation.
Ngais, Sister Pack (Elder Pack was taking the picture), Lees, Chans, Bodilys
We weren't quite complete with Nora Chan and E/S Ball unable to join us.

T.C. Christensen produced this movie, and it is right up there with 17 Miracles, which was also produced by him.
Even though we have seen this movie a few times, and it still moves me to tears.
Everyone else seemed to enjoy it as much.
It was a nice evening just being together with these fun-loving missionaries.

Looks like a good night. We haven't seen Ephraim's Rescue, sounds like a good movie for us to watch as a family soon!

We highly recommend it, Lyndsay. But, have a box of tissues close by.
