10,000 Buddhas!

We have heard 10,000 Buddhas is well worth the time to see.
So, we took the time on our P-Day to check it out.
The day was a little rainy, but not too cold and nothing we couldn't survive without an umbrella.
Its location is off the beaten path, but with a little searching, we found the entrance.
We were greeted by two monks, or so we thought.
They presented us with bracelets of beads, pronounced a blessing upon our foreheads,
and then requested $200 each.
Then immediately left.
We knew we had been taken once we saw this sign.
Elder Bodily immediately went back to the entrance looking for them.  He had to do a little searching, but eventually found them, gave back the beads and demanded our money back.
At first, they acted as if they didn't understand,
then he showed them the photo he took, and they relented.
Hard to believe there were actually 10,000 Buddhas.  We didn't count them, but by the time we walked to the monastery and back, we suppose there probably were that many, and with just as many different expressions.   But, only shot photos of a few that stood out.
Some with kind and gentle faces.
One was a little sleepy.
This one half dressed, but happy and adored by children.
This must be the longest arm in history.
This one was a bit scary looking.
Reached the Monastery at the top of the hill, and it was still raining.
A most unusual statue of what looks like a woman with 1,000 arms and two heads.  Weird.
The White Elephant mush have some significance.
Elder Bodily didn't see the sign about NO TOUCHING!
This one my personal favorite.  He reminded me a little of President Kimball.

We can now say we have been here and done that.
It was interesting, but once is enough.
