The Purras!

Vinod Purra and Ramya Monalisa Kongu came to the temple today from India,
to receive their own endowments, and then to be married.
Timing was such, that Sister Nora Chan and I were able to attend their temple marriage,
and we watched as Brother Chan sealed them for time and all eternity.
Occasions like this always make our days extra special.
Mr. and Mrs. Purra
A beautiful bride and handsome groom.

When Ramya was 11 years-old, Vinod's brother-in-law introduced her to the church, but it was not until 2007 that she was baptized.  That same year Vinod was also baptized.
Vinod and Ramya's families had arranged for them to be married.
But, Ramya was preparing to serve a mission when Vinrod proposed marriage.
At that time, Vinod had not been active in the church for quite some time.
Ramya did not want to marry unless she knew Vinod truly loved her,
and he could take her to the temple.
So, she told him that she could not agree to marry him unless
he were to become active in the church again.
Vinod made the right choice,
and has proven his love for Ramya as they stand here on the temple steps.

Vinod and Ramya are both 2nd generation members of the church, but are the first in their families to enter the temple. They are leading the way for their families to follow.
