We, as well as Elder and Sister Lee had the privilege of attending the sealing of
Dmitry and Surpa Yarvensivu today. Dmitry was born in Russia and Surpa in Finland. They met in Finland four years ago, and were married this past May. Because of their unique circumstances, they were given permission to be sealed less than a year later.
President Wong performed the sealing and explained their sealing was historic for
the Hong Kong Temple.
Never before had a couple from Russia and Finland been sealed by an Australian, witnessed by two Americans, and took place in Hong Kong China.
Theirs truly was an international marriage ceremony.

There is something special about gathering on the steps of the temple as missionaries
with the saints who come from far away lands.
