A Cooking Lesson From Sister Ngai!

Elder and Sister Ngai invited the temple missionaries over for a potluck dinner.
My assignment was to bring fried noodles, but  I began to panic because I haven't had good success with fried noodles.  However, Sister Ngai assured me that she would teach me how, so not to worry.  She even offered to escort me to the best noodle shop in Wampoa, then on to the market for the necessary vegetables and meat to make a perfect fried noodle dish.
Fried Noodles requires some time and preparation.
Washing, chopping, and seasoning.
Two pans are needed.  One for frying noodles,
the other for stir-frying 'layered vegetables',
which is essential, and for making the sauce.
A little over an hour later we had a delicious spread on the table, which included minced pork,
fried noodles w/ shrimp, rice, fruit, and pumpkin pie.
Just waiting for the other guests to arrive.
Sister Ngai is an excellent teacher,
and has given me some confidence in tackling fried noodles again sometime.
It was a nice evening, and we had so much fun, we didn't leave until after 10 o'clock.
